Social Stamping @ A Taste of Dalyellup

Social Stamping has gone on the road!  Reinvigorated after an amazing OnStage event, Nanna Papercraft and I decided to try something new (to us) to share our love of stamping and support the local cafe.

For the month of December, we are offering Social Stamping sessions at the Taste of Dalyellup cafe making Christmas cards.  These sessions are different in style from the classes I’ve run from home.  The cards are somewhere between a beginner & casual crafter level making it perfect for any level of experience.  Crafters get to create one or two cards plus enjoy a hot drink.  All materials are supplied with samples to copy, but there’s no limits on the creativity!

These are the cards we made on week 1.  With thanks to Lesley Jendra and Carolyn King for their inspiration.

Last week (week 2) we created these cards, inspired by designs by Tamie Ackerson and Sue Jackson.

Can you believe it’s February already???  I’m not sure where January went – we were too busy having fun to notice!

But, it’s back to reality now with school back in full swing and our routine most of the way to being under control.

You’ve been asking about classes for 2017 – here’s the details!

This year I am running 3 classes each month.

All classes will be held in my cozy little craft cottage

{well, the kitchen table in my house but we’ll pretend we’re in an awesome craft cottage!}

There are 2 types of classes…

• FRIDAY BIRTHDAY CLASS – 9.30am
  • In this class you will make cards that are fun & creative
  • It’s perfect for all levels of card making and an awesome way to build up your birthday card supplies.
  • The cost for this class is $15 and it will take us about 2 hours.

• TUESDAY SKILL BUILDER – 9.30am & 1pm (repeated session)
  • In this card you will learn techniques, folds & ways to use products
  • The class will usually contain 1 ‘fancy’ card or project and 2 standard cards
  • This class is perfect for crafters with an interest in card making as a hobby to build up your skills
  • The cost for this class is $20 and it will take us about 2.5 hours

Classes are limited to 4 participants per session – due to the size of the cottage!

If you see a class or 2 you’re interested in please email me to reserve your place & I’ll be in touch with payment details.  Your seat in the class is only confirmed when I receive payment.

If the dates I’ve set for classes don’t suit you, please feel free to contact me to suggest a weekend class or in-home workshop.

We rely so much on technology & social media these days that it’s getting rare to collect a birthday card from the letterbox.

To celebrate my birthday, I’m running a free birthday card class on Saturday 14th May 2016.  There will be 3 x one-hour sessions: 9am, 10am & 11am.  Everyone is welcome to join in but bookings are essential.

Christmas Inspiration in July

This week over at Just Add Ink they have a Christmas themed inspiration photo.  Christmas in July is always a perfect theme.  So much so, that I’m running a Christmas in July class.  Scroll down to the end of my blog post for an updated class schedule.

Here’s my card, featuring a couple of the gorgeous new DSPs from the catalogue.

There will be a new Holiday Catalogue available to you in September.  If you can’t wait until then, there’s a Christmas section in this year’s annual catalogue with favourites like the Festival of Trees bundle.  Or, you can be cheeky like me and dust off last year’s favourites – like Endless Wishes!  Looking forward to seeing what SU! brings for Christmas this year – I’ve heard it’s good!  Kelly x
