CLEAR CASE INSERTS | 2021 In Colors

After almost two months of using the 2021-2023 In Colors, I can confirm that I love them! Soft Succulent is definitely my favourite, followed closely by it’s partner in crime Evening Evergreen. What’s the most used of these 5 pretties in your craft room?

For many years now I have created free printable inserts for the Stampin’ Up! clear cases to store your In Color products. You can see the archive of previous inserts by clicking here. With the standard cases as the only one left to buy now and a range of specialty range of storage solutions available in the catalogue, I wasn’t going to continue to create new inserts. But, I hear from your messages and emails asking me when I’ll have the clear case inserts for the new In Colours available, that many of you are still storing your markers and ink refills in these cases.

So, by popular demand, click on the link below to download the pdf document –

These are available for you to download and print free of charge and are for personal use only.  You are welcome to share a link to this page with your stamping friends & customers.  Please do not upload these files to your own blog, Facebook page/group or any other online source.

These are designed using A4 paper sizes.  For correct printing, ensure ‘actual size’ in printing options.

Raiding the Kid’s Stash | Easter Treats

How excited do you get about Easter? I’m a big fan of Easter chocolate, so it’s always fun to have this time of the year roll around!

This year for class Easter treats, I have used some supplies from the kids craft stash to make bunnies for the Little Miss Papercrafts and their friends. I contemplated using my Stampin’ Up! DSP but I’d be heartbroken to see them rip off the pretty paper to get to the chocolate!

Easter Treats | kelly kent

These oh-so-cute bunnies were made using my Silhouette Cameo. I created the cut file and then cut a whole page at a time. There’s two variations – one with a hole that fits the lollipop stick and one without the hole which is perfect for a mini solid chocolate egg.

Easter Treats | kelly kent

You can download the png files by clicking on the links below. There’s a solid option you can trace in your e-cutter software and a black & white version which is suitable for printing & cutting by hand. I sized these at 5-3/4″ total length which makes them about 2-3/4″ high when folded over.

Make one, or make 100 like I did, these are super to put a smile on everyone’s face this Easter!

Have a lovely long weekend! May there be lots of crafting and LOTS of chocolate!!!

Celebrating with Shimmer Paint + Clear Case Insert

I {LOVE} new products – especially accessories!

They breathe new life into all the products you already have.

One of the new ranges I was most excited about in the Holiday Catalogue was Shimmer Paints.  For some long term Stampin’ Up! addicts, these are a ‘returning’ product as some colours were previously available in the range.  For me, they are a totally new toy to play with.

There’s 4 colours – Bright Copper, Champagne Mist, Frost White & Vegas Gold.

You can start with one, or add all four!

I went into shimmer overload for this card to celebrate one of my Paper Adventures teamies promoting to Bronze Elite.  She now gets a bigger discount on all her Stampin’ Up! spending!  Congratulations Gayle!

This card features the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.

Shimmer Paint | kelly kent

It’s nearly impossible to get photos that do any shimmer product justice!  I tried – but this card is best seen in person!

Shimmer Paint | kelly kent

There’s three different ways I’ve used the shimmer paint on this card

  • applied to cardstock with a sponge dauber (“YOU” die cut)
  • misted to the card base using alcohol (Isocol) and shimmer paint in a Stampin’ Spritzer
  • Applied directly to the stamp and used as an ink

Shimmer Paint | kelly kent

Each colour of shimmer paint will give a different effect.  You can mix the shimmer paint with ink refills to create a coloured shimmer.  Or swirl 2 shimmer paints together for a frosted marble look.  The possibilities are endless!

When you order your shimmer paints (click here to visit the online store), make sure you have sponge daubers and spritzers in your collection – or make sure to add these products to your order as well.  They make using shimmer paints so easy!!!  Isocol is available from the medicinal section of Coles, Woolworths or your local supermarket.  Look for the bright green bottle.

As usual, the Stampin’ Up! Clear Cases make the perfect storage solution. All 4 shimmer paints (and their sponge dauber partners) fit into a half stamp case.  Click here to see this product in the online store.

CASEing the Catty #186 | Birthday

Hello!  How was your weekend?  Totally fabulous, I hope!

You’re joining the CASEing the Catty Crew tonight for a blog hop featuring projects we were inspired to make after browsing the birthday section of the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

No automatic alt text available.

This is possibly my favourite section of the catalogue.  I love birthday sentiments, birthday stamp sets and all things birthday!  For most of us, it’s the most common need for a handmade card.

Today, I have chosen to use this card on page 73 using the 25 Again stamp set.  I don’t own this set – but I’m having a second look!!!  It’s super cute and perfect for colouring!  The wishlist never gets any shorter – does it???

I’ve used the rough layout of the card and transformed it into a Best Route card.  It feels a little like I’m doing this backwards – since last week was the Best Route suite!

Best Route suite | kelly kent

I love this suite – the colours, the patterns, the styling!  My card features everything except the embossing folder.  The DSP on the background layer, the Memories & More card as the top layer, the stamp set, the washi tape and the enamel shapes.

The DSP is part of the Buy 3, Get 1 free promotion in July 2018.

Best Route suite | kelly kent

I’ve adapted the sentiment in the stamp set to add ‘birthday’ (which makes total sense when CASEing the Birthday section!).  You’ll find the birthday in the Darling Label stamp set – which is an exclusive stamp set in the Darling Label Punch Box.

Best Route suite | kelly kent

If you like storing your Memories & More card sets in Wood Mount Cases, here’s the inserts for you to download & print.  It includes inserts for Tea Room, Delightfully Detailed, Best Route & Big Plans Memories & More Card Packs.

Please join us on Facebook – click here to join the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge group.  You can upload your CTC#186 project, see what others are making and get info about each challenge as it goes lives.

And now it’s time for another great project.  Keep hopping and visit the Sandra Collett in NZ!

Still Global in 2018 – German & French Clear Case Inserts

Clear Case Inserts - Available in French & German | kelly kent

Many of the European demonstrators I’ve chatted with online have an amazing ability to converse in English, as well as their native language.  Which is lucky, because I am unable to speak another language!!!

Despite their amazing language skills, it’s always nice to have options in your first language, so with the help of a couple of my demonstrator friends, I have been able to translate my 2018 range of Clear Case Inserts into German & French.

Thank you for your help ladies (you know who you are).  Any editing errors are my own.

CASEing the Catty #179 | Favourite Kit

Sunday again!  Can you believe how fast these weeks roll around???  I’m grateful to have another wonderful week to look forward to (even if 2019 is coming faster than I’m ready for!!!).

Today I’m hopping with the CASEing the Catty Crew, and we are sharing projects inspired by the kits currently available in the Stampin’ Up! range.

It’s catalogue transition time, so most of these kits are soon to be retired.

No automatic alt text available.

Kits are great for all levels of crafters.  For the beginner stamper, they give you the supplies to make cards without having to buy the whole online store!  For experienced stampers, they are the perfect option for taking on holiday, to keep you busy while waiting around at kids sports and because they are just so pretty!

I’m sharing projects made today with the Color Me Happy Kit which was a special release together with the Stampin’ Blends.

This kit is still available in the online store and features supplies to make 4 fabulous card designs (16 cards in total) in conjunction with the Color Me Happy stamp set.

I’ve mixed & matched the pieces from this kit using the style of the bottom left design, the envelope from the top right and the birds from the top left to create a pocket style card.

Color Me Happy - Kit Alternative | kelly kent

The cute stamps in this set are perfect for colouring.  I’ve used Stampin’ Blends (they are my favourite!!!) but any colouring method will work!  Just choose your ink to match your colouring choice (quick tip: alcohol colouring = water based ink; water colouring = alcohol based ink).

Color Me Happy - Kit Alternative | kelly kent

If you think kits are just for putting together the pieces, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised how easy it is to create your own designs by mixing & matching.

Did I mention how much I love Stampin’ Blends?  They’ve been in unorderable status for a few weeks while Stampin’ Up! catch up on manufacturing to meet our crazy demand.  They’ve be back on 1st June!!!

I’m excited to share that we’ll be getting more Stampin’ Blends colours in the new catalogue! With 11 new colour pairs joining the collection, there will be 22 colours in total plus two skin tones & a colour lifter marker (Pink Pirouette retired with the current catalogue cycle).

Get ready for these special pens to return to ‘orderable’ on 1st June 2018 with some Color Revamp storage.

ESAD Blog Hop – 2017 Annual Catalogue Favourites

No automatic alt text available.

Hello!  Thanks for joining for for another ESAD Blog Hop.  For all the info on ESAD, see the graphic at the end of this post.

Today we are celebrating our favourites from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

There’s 25 talented crafters participating today, so make yourself a cuppa (or pour a wine!) and enjoy the clever and inspirational creations to come.

If you’re already hopping, you will have seen the stunning creations from my friend Lou Kitzelman.  Click on the next button below (after my projects) to visit another gorgeous friend of mine – Cheryl Algie.

The friendships I’ve made through Stampin’ Up! is something that I am forever grateful for!  It’s wonderful to have connections across the world!!!

The content of this blog hop was surprisingly easy for me!!!

Sometimes I struggle with ‘favourite’, but I’ve really been loving the Soft Sayings Kit & stamp set.

It’s priced at $61 for the Australian market, and in your cute little box, you receive materials to make 20 cards (including patterned envelopes – yep, no naked envelopes here!!!), a 15 piece stamp set, a block for stamping and an ink spot.

Today I wanted to show you how wonderful the stamp set in the kit is.  I have a ‘soft’ spot for good greetings – and this stamp set covers it all!

It’s easy to miss the kit stamp sets!  They are tucked away in the box and we often use them to make the kit cards but forget that they are more than the kit!!!

So, the first thing I did was make a clear case insert for the stamp set.  I always do this for my kit stamps sets – I break them free from the cute box and store them with my usual stamp sets.  This way they are on display and I don’t forget them!

Click here to download & print your own Soft Sayings insert for a clear case.

To buy clear cases, click here or see my product link up at the end of this post.

They were accidentally missed from the print run of the catalogue this year – whoops! – but they are still very available!

Although I absolutely love the cards in the kit, I wanted to show you how easy it is to whip up some cards using the greetings & flowers/leaves in this stamp set.  And hopefully inspire you to see this stamp set as more than just for your kit.

I’ve used some of my favourite layouts to make a set of cards using the stamp set in the Soft Sayings kit.

ESAD Blog Hop - Soft Sayings stamp set | kelly kent

The colours are consistent with the kit colours.  Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Gold & the core colours from the kit.  Using colours that the Stampin’ Up! concept design team have put together is one of my ‘tips’ for easy card making.

Berry Burst…

Powder Pink…

ESAD Blog Hop - Soft Sayings stamp set | kelly kent

There are so many sentiments in the stamp set, it’d be easy to make a heap of cards using your favourite colours & layouts, and keep them for when you next need a card in a hurry!

Or make up the card basics and then add the sentiment as you’re rushing out the door!!!

The kit cards are good for this too – and the beautiful colours & design of the Soft Sayings kit make them perfect for all occasions!

If you finish your kits cards in a hurry, Stampin’ Up! have introduced a refill for the kit this year.

You get all the card making materials and can use the blocks, inks & stamp sets you already own.

Thanks for hopping with me today.  Next up on your journey is Cheryl Algie and her great variety of projects!

No automatic alt text available.

If you’re hopping when we first go live, please be patient with any broken links – they happen!!!  Lou will be working hard behind the scenes to get everything to run smoothly!

If you want to skip ahead to any of the blogs, you’ll find a full list of participants below!

Have a wonderful week!
