Social Stamping | Wrapped Bouquet

We are off & running for Term 2 of Social Stamping! Mandy and a group of lovely stampers got inky last week and tomorrow it’s my turn to trade in normal life for a couple of hours of crafting escape.

Each session runs for 1-1/2 hours and offers participants the chance to make 2 cards. We start at 9.30am and finish up at 11am – giving to time to either sleep in or do the school run and then time to continue on with whatever else your day holds. We are hosted by the Taste of Dalyellup cafe – located in the Dalyellup shopping centre. It’s a one stop shop for all your everyday shopping with a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, news agency and other specialty shops.

Here’s a sneak peak of one of tomorrow’s options. I’ve been crafting lots with the Wrapped Bouquet bundle from the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalogue and I wanted to share how sweet this bundle is with the Social Stamping group. It’s also another chance to play with the newly released 2021-2023 In Colors.

Stampers receive a kit which includes all the supplies to make one of these variations. I always try to have at least 2 samples, but the new In Colors were so fun, I got carried away with three different combinations.

There are suggestions for how you might complete your project, but the finished design is up to you. I wanted these samples to reflect how the same set of cardstock could be layered / embossed or stamped in different ways to create different looks. I can’t wait to see what the Social Stampers create.

The bouquet is stamped in Evening Evergreen, the sentiment in Soft Succulent and the flowers are coloured with Stampin’ Blends – Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Polished Pink. I’ve used white twine in different ways across the three cards and dimensionals to change up what part of the card I’ve elevated.

The neutral colours are Basic White and Sahara Sand. The Sahara Sand layer is embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I’ve curled over one corner of this layer before sticking it down. It’s easy to do – curl the corner with a bone folder and then use the handle of a skinny paintbrush (or similar) to further curl under into a shape you like.

Every card comes with a quality Stampin’ Up! envelope which is made of a beautiful white heavy paper – perfect for stamping on! I must admit stamping on envelopes is usually an after thought for me, so it’s nice to stop and take the time to make the envelope as special as the card inside!

RSVPs aren’t essential for Social Stamping – you are most welcome to turn up on the day. However, we only have a limited number of kits for each session so if you know you’ll be coming, be sure to let us know so we can hold a kit for you.

See you tomorrow! If you don’t live in the Bunbury area but would like to make these cards at home, all the supplies are available in my online store. Click here to shop.
